The Union offered full membership to physicians, associate membership without voting rights to veterinarians and pharmacists. The Verband rejected the creation of the Aesculap Autoclub, open to both Czech and German doctors, and the relationship of both clubs remained strained. Primarily German-speaking doctors from the border regions joined the Verband, while German doctors of the capital chose Aesculap.
