In the Czech Medical Journal (<em>\u010casopis l\u00e9ka\u0159\u016f \u010desk\u00fdch<\/em>), the issue was summarized by Prof. Karel Chodounsk\u00fd (1843-1931). Having told a&nbsp;series of hospital toilet anecdotes, the famous neurologist, psychiatrist and internist internista Ernest-Charles Las\u00e8gue (1816-1883) adds an \u201capotheosis of the enema\u201c and demands erecting a&nbsp;monument to dr. \u00c9guisier for his service to human metabolism. \u201eTo speak of apotheosis is no hyperbole, since dr. \u00c9gusier ministered to the intestines of the whole humanity.\u201c Apparently the proposal was never realized.
