Jozef Pil\u00e1t<\/strong> (born December 11, 1943 in Vrbov\u00e9) has worked for Prema Star\u00e1 Tur\u00e1 since 1961. Between 1966- 1972 he studied at the Technical University in Bratislava, in 1985-1987 he enrolled in postgraduate study at the Czech Technical University in Prague.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Aside from Biocard, he participated in the development of angiographic syringes (1966), the Mikrospir and Minispir aspirators (1971), the <a href=\"http:\/\/wissenschaftliche-sammlungen.uni-greifswald.de\/Object\/DE-MUS-035823\/lido\/MHS00007\">Minicoma<\/a> electroshock therapy device (1972) or single channel oscillator Starscop (1976) in Star\u00e1 Tur\u00e1, the Chirastar 60 EKG in the Medical Technology Research Institute or the Javorina sunray lamp, Infraterap infrared lamp or the blue light for treatment of jaundice in newborns at the Chirana Pie\u0161\u0165any. For the Chiratom 400 and Chiratom 70 electrocauteries he has received several awards, including the Golden Medal from the Brno trade fair (1984).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Since 1978, he led the dental technology department in Chirana Star\u00e1 Tur\u00e1 (later Chirana Medical) and directed the development of multiple dental units, chairs, compressors and other instruments. The SMILE (1999) and Cheese (2011) dental units and the SK-1 dental chair (2001) brought ing. Pil\u00e1t and Ass. Prof. Ferdinand Chrenka from the Fine Arts Academy Slovak national prizes for design.
