Prof. PhDr. Václav Posejpal (December 20, 1874 Rasochy- March 8, 1935 Praha), 1919 Extraordinary Professor of Experimental Physics at the Czech Faculty of Arts in Prague, 1921 Full Professor at the newly founded Faculty of Science; among other topics he studied X-rays. Since specialized departments for medical physics appeared in Prague only after World War II, medical students were taught physics by teachers at the Arts, later Sciences Faculty.
